What are relative metrics and how are they computed?

For portfolios, relative metrics are portfolio metrics relative to the benchmark set for the portfolio. You will only be able to toggle on the relative metrics when a benchmark is set for the portfolio.

For performance analysis, there are the following relative metrics:

For factor analysis, there are the following relative metrics all computed off of the excess return of the portfolio.

  • Active factor exposure

  • Active factor risk

  • Active factor return
